A violinist and violist, originally from northern Virginia, Kathleen Swayze earned music education degrees from Indiana University and Butler University. She taught middle school orchestra for 23 years, the last 15 of which were at Zionsville Middle School.

Kathleen is a published composer of string orchestra music for young people and is sought-after in the state as a composer and arranger, as well as a guest clinician and speaker.
