Flute & Electronic Experimentation Lab Coordinator

Leo Sussman grew up playing chamber music in living rooms and gigging with a salsa band in his hometown of San Francisco. He recently completed a fellowship with Ensemble Connect, a chamber music and teaching artistry program based at Carnegie Hall and the Juilliard School, and has performed with groups including Alarm Will Sound, SEM Ensemble, and Metropolis Ensemble. When not fiddling around with his own electroacoustic experiments, Leo delights in designing and performing interactive chamber music programs in places where music is seldom heard.

Leo is a member of the New York-based wind quintet ConnectFive as well as Bash the Trash, an environmental arts group. He earned degrees in flute and physics at Lawrence University before graduate studies at Yale and Manhattan School of Music.
