MAKING PAYMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Western Union was chosen by DePauw University to give you a simple, reliable way to pay. This allows you to pay in your home currency, either online or by bank transfer, with competitive exchange rates and takes the stress and uncertainty out of paying for your tuition. Access Transact Payments and select the “International Payment” option.

* DePauw University does not accept wire transfer payments for tuition and fees.

** Please be advised that DePauw also does not accept overpayments on student accounts. Please transfer only the amount due on your student account to avoid payment delays.

 

How Do I Log in to Transact Payments?

To access Transact Payments, you will log in to e-Services (my.depauw.edu) and click “Billing & Payments” under the “Financial” menu on the left-hand side.

 

How Do I Select the Foreign Currency Option?

During checkout you will select “International Payment” as a payment method.  You will then be redirected to Western Union’s website to complete your payment.

How Do I Allow Someone Else to Pay My Tuition and Fees?

Once logged in to Transact Payments, you will send a payer invitation in order to grant a parent, guardian, or third party access to view invoices and submit payments.

When Is My Balance Due?

Your balance is due in full August 1 for the first semester and February 1 for the second semester.  If you cannot pay in full by these dates, you will be required to sign up for the 4 Month Payment Plan on Transact Payments.  If your account becomes delinquent due to non-payment, late fees ranging from $25 to $100 per month will be assessed.

 

I Would Like to Pay with Credit or Debit Card but there Is a Fee.

Transact Payments will assess a 2.9% processing fee when you pay with credit or debit card.  A free alternative would be selecting the “New bank account information” during checkout.  You will be prompted to enter your account number and routing number.  Please note that the number on your debit card is not your account number.

 

I’ve Paid by Wire Transfer Before, Why Can’t I Now?

DePauw has partnered with Western Union to provide a reliable, secure, and cost-effective method of payment.  With traditional wire transfers, payment information often gets lost during transmission which creates substantial payment delays.  There is also no guarantee that DePauw will receive the full amount you send due to wire transfer fees which will result in past-due accounts.  With the “International Payment” option on CASHNet, payment is quick and we will always receive the same amount you send.
