November 9, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - If you're still in need of a ticket for Saturday's 113th Monon Bell Classic, you'll need to purchase it at Wabash College on game day. DePauw University has returned its unsold tickets to Wabash; as a result, sales on the Greencastle campus -- which began October 23 -- are now over. The box office at Wabash's Little Giant Stadium opens at 11 a.m. Saturday. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. [Download Video: "1955 Monon Memory" - 6739kb]
The contest will be televised live nationally on HDNet and can be viewed at more than 50 alumni telecast parties across America. [Download Video: "1942 Monon Memory" - 4396kb]
Viewers on the DePauw campus and in the Greencastle community can see the game live on cable TV. The student television operation, D3TV, will carry the HDNet feed, as
will the city's public access cable channel. Both can be found on channel 3. Of course, the cable feeds will not be in high definition. [Download Video: "1988 Monon Memory" - 3338kb]
As it has been since 2001, the Monon Bell Classic will again be the subject of a commemorative DVD. The 2006 disc will contain every play of the contest, plus a treasure trove of historic and special features, and is available for pre-order for a special "early bird" price of $12 (plus $3 shipping; Indiana residents will also be charged 6% sales tax).
