Geoffrey Klinger is interested in the connections between rhetoric and social theory – particularly in the areas of political communication, legal argumentation and rhetoric of economics. He is working on two books: one dealing with the philosophical and rhetorical traditions in the theory of law, and the other focusing on business and economics rhetoric. Klinger also serves as director of forensics at DePauw, working with the student debate teams. He is faculty adviser for the Debate Society.
